Delete Your Data

You can delete your Kalku account and all the personal data tied to it at any time. Here's exactly how, and what happens.

Option 1 — From the app (fastest)

1. Open Kalku on the web (kalku.ai) and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Privacy.
3. Choose Delete my account.

You can also switch off, and erase, the optional Training Archive separately from the same Settings → Privacy screen without deleting your whole account.

Option 2 — By email

Email hello@kalku.ai from the address on your account (or tell us the WhatsApp number / Telegram handle you use) and ask us to delete your account. We'll action it for you.

What happens after you request deletion

• A 30-day grace window applies first, in case the request was a mistake.
• After the grace window, your personal data is irreversibly erased across our systems — your diary entries, transactions, loans, gifts, IOUs, goals, budgets, and identity details.
• Deletion is permanent. We can't recover erased data.
• A minimal forensic record that the deletion happened, and operational error logs already stripped of personal detail, are retained for security and legal reasons.
• Payment records held by our processor (Paystack) are kept under their terms and applicable financial-record law.

Before you delete — export your data

If you want a copy first, you can export everything (CSV, JSON) from the web dashboard before you delete.
